PSMP Warranty

Pool Service & Maintenance Professionals (hereafter referred to as PSMP) warrants to the original purchaser/user of product(s) and/or services which were sold or provided to be free from defects in material and/or workmanship. PSMP further warrants that product(s) will perform adequately under normal use if properly maintained in accordance with the manufacturers' specifications and recommendations.

Starting Coverage: This warranty begins with the date of original installation or sale as indicated on the invoice or bill of sale.

What is Covered: Components are covered for parts and labor for 1 year after installation/sale unless otherwise noted on the invoice or bill of sale. Most product parts are covered directly by the manufacturer’s standard warranty coverage period. Warranty is applicable only to the original owner and the location property it was installed or sold to within the regions serviced by PSMP, i.e. Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties.

PSMP WARRANTY

PSMP’s Obligation: Limited strictly to replacing, or to repair any part(s) or item(s) that shall be found to be defective in material and/or workmanship during the warranty period. All decisions regarding defects in material or workmanship or accident, alteration, misuse, or improper maintenance or installation shall be made by PSMP and shall be binding upon the parties. Should a product be out of stock or discontinued, PSMP reserves the right to replace defective parts/products with similar type, as long as the performance is similar in the original function.

Requirements: Warranty services must be performed by a PSMP Technician or a pre-authorized manufacturer’s technician.

User Responsibility: The product must be cleaned and maintained as described in the product User Manual to maintain eligibility for warranty coverage.

Procedures: There will be no reimbursements made for labor charges to any other service companies or the manufacture of items covered under the portion of this warranty. All billable labor can only be performed by a PSMP technician.

Requests for warranty must include:

  1. explanation of defect or problem in sufficient detail
  2. model number and serial number
  3. original date of installation and copy invoice or bill of sale number.

Exclusions: This warranty does not include parts or labor coverage for component failure or other damage resulting from:

  • Electrical power or water supply failure to equipment for any reason.
  • Operating the product beyond the specifications set in the products manual.
  • Failure to clean and maintain as set forth in the product's manual.
  • Installations or modifications made not in accordance with the products manual.
  • Repairs made by any unauthorized technicians to the part(s) or product(s).
  • For products that are considered as “consumables” such as but not limited to; light bulbs, pump seal, o-rings, gaskets, filter grids, impellers etc.

This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties or guarantees of any kind, express or implied.

ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE EXCLUDED AND DISCLAIMED. IN NO EVENT SHALL PSMP BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND OR NATURE, OR FOR ANY DAMAGES RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART FROM USE, MISUSE OR INADEQUATE MAINTENANCE OF THE PRODUCT OR ANY PART THEREOF.

No part or assembly which has been subject to accident, alteration or misuse, or which is not installed or serviced in accordance with the Service Manual furnished with the product, or where the serial number has been altered or removed, or unauthorized service performed by homeowner or any non-PSMP technician shall be covered by this warranty.
